Papoose is one of New York City's unsung heroes.

Since jumping into the game, he has showcased exceptional lyricism via rugged street tales and thought-provoking songs. His initial buzz derived from Kay Slay-hosted mixtapes and visuals on various Smack DVD volumes.

The year 2006 was one of Pap's highest points musically. He appeared on the remix to Busta Rhymes' smash "Touch It," along with DMX, Mary J. Blige, Lloyd Banks, Rah Digga, and Missy Elliot. He also secured a seven-figure deal with Jive Records.

Years later, he has yet to drop a Platinum-selling album or deliver a Billboard-dominating banger. Nevertheless, Pap has managed to stay afloat.

Along with his wife and fellow rapper Remy Ma, he stars on VH1's Love & Hip Hop: New York. And he continues to drop gems in the booth.

Pap recently stopped by Sway to talk about his forthcoming project Hoodie Season 3. He also offered relationship advice, talked about his marriage with Remy, and starring on Love & Hip Hop.

The highlight of the interview is Pap's freestyle, which he drops around the 22-minute mark of the interview.

Peep it all below.
